Seeing the distant street light gave me hope. There has to be somebody keeping the power on in this town. Why else would there be one on. Approaching the light I could see blood cover the stree. It was dark and crusty, flaking up here and there. What ever happened here was violent, and done quite a while ago. I stopped looking to my left and right, wondering what could be out there. What could have done this, and why is there so much blood. Don’t stop keep moving is what came to mind. Making it through the night looks harder then ever now. Imagining the carnage that happened underneath my feet just makes the night go longer. Tomorrow is where I am headed, you can only wish for tomorrow and a brighter day. Continuing to walk I see more and more lights down the street. Faint noises are becoming apparent as I more toward more lights. Banging, grinding, smashing and hammering. As if somebody in the distance is building something. Possibly something the produces outcomes that I have just past. I must keep going, I have not seen a single person in the last 8 months. Surviving on my own is easy enough although with to many others it could become a competition that I may not want to join. I just need to know.

Time was irrelevant. I had to start making the bread for dinner or I was doomed. You have to have bread on thanksgiving. Some of it is going to be used for the stuffing as well. If I don’t start working on the bread now I will never get done. I have to make 15 loafs. I can’t do it in my bread maker. That takes hours just to make one loaf. I need to break down and do it the old fashion way. Making the dow and baking it in the over. I figure I can get 5 in the oven no problem. It’s going to be close. If I don’t make it well, it will have to do. Maybe I can bring some wine and beer, to make up for the bread. Maybe I should just go to the bread store. It’s a lot easier and if I can get all the loafs I need I can start partying now instead of later. The bread I make would be better though. Oh the delimna, what to do, what to do. I guess I am going to have to break down and make the bread. If I’m late oh well. I can say I have been slaving over a hot stove. I think that will work just fine. Oh wait a minute, my wife just came home with 15 loafs of bread. Well that was easy. Let’s go get some wine.

Thinking I was going to take the computer or banjo outside and play in the sunshine. It doesn’t look like it anymore. The clouds were dark and you could smell the rain in the air. It was coming, just didn’t know when. Looks like it’s going to be a day to stay inside with the kiddos. Maybe a game of phase 10 or monopoly. Maybe learn a few songs on the banjo and sing a bit. Not sure about the computer. If the lightning starts the last thing I want to do is be on the computer. One strike and a surge of electricity through the lines and no more computer. Tha tis the last thing we all need, no computer. How can we get on facebook then, or even write a story. Yes the computer and a banjo, they both seem so important today. The computer can take you into the future of technology. The banjo can bring you closer to the people around you. Which is better though, the computer or the banjo. I guess it all depends on the type of person you are. Sometimes you have to take the good with the bad. They both come with a little of each

My shoulder was in pain along with my back and knees aching. It was six a.m. and the sun was still down. It just couldn’t be the morning yet. My sheets and pillow felt like they were dowsed with water as I was laying there. I wasn’t sure if I was sick or what. Sitting up, it had to be the giant blanket that was on the bed. It may be winter time but it sure wasn’t that cold. Strange how people can feel the same temperature differently. How when in bed touching the foot of somebody can send chills up your spine because it feels like an icicle has just jabbed you. Well I got up anyway, grabbed the book from the headboard and crept my way to the kitchen. The aching was slowing me down quite a bit. Not sure if it was from staying up late reading the book I got or my mattress. The mattress cost me a fortune, it couldn’t be that. I guess just because you payed a fortune doesn’t mean it will bring you good fortune. Either way I was up and walking. Yes I am alive and thankful for that. At least until that damn dog started to bark. Why so early in the morning. Why can’t that damn dog understand that people are still sleeping this early. I guess she doesn’t understand ‘shut the hell up’.

Dog’s been with me for eight years. He has backed me up more then a few times. I couldn’t see going anywhere without him. Horse is a little different, my last horse was killed so I have this one now. He is still young and uneasy but he hasn’t been that much trouble. Tracking these cowboy is tough. All I want to do is get this over with so I can finally go home. This is my last bounty. I am just to tired and old, to many horses and painful days in the saddle. With a little luck and prayer I should find him before he crosses the Rio. If not I am going to have to load up on guns and ammo to make it into and out of Mexico. It’s something I have done before, always turns out bad. Nobody likes to see the law on the border. Especially after you have robbed several banks and paid off the locals to help you out. With my current track and slow progress I can feel it being several bloody days before this is over.

I couldn’t understand what the problem was. The screen started to flicker as if the computer was about to die. It then started. I heard crackling like popcorn in the distant. Louder and louder, then the smell of burning electronics. I was freaking out. I turned to look at where the laptop was plugged into the power supply. There is a light that shines when it is charging and green when the charge is complete. It was like a rainbow of colors, fading in and out. I quickly pulled the plug from the power supply. It was to late, the damage had been done. I tried to pull the power plug from the laptop. It wouldn’t move. I walked to the garage dejected looking for a pair of pliers. I knew there was no hope but I had to do something. Griping th pliers onto the plug I pulled. I had to use more force then I wanted to but it finally released. The plug had melted the plastic separating the ends. It was then that I finally came to the realization that the computer was done. All that I wanted to do right then we get a bat and smash the hell out of that thing. I didn’t though; Luckily I had backups of most everything on a large drive I usually connected to the computer. Everything is safe somewhere. It is then that I realized I wanted a better place to write my manuscripts. Then along came http://Write.StoryJolt.com

A story is something that comes up every time you open your eyes. Let’s say in the morning you are waking up in your bedroom and the first thing you notice is your ceiling. You then throw your legs around the bed to straighten yourself up. Suddenly there is a pain in your back. You then notice the ceiling again waking up for the second time. You have fallen off your bed and landed on the floor and passed out because of the pain in your back. You finally make it up and get ready for work. What a morning already, now you have to teach a course on plankton to a bunch of kids who just started going to college. In the front of the lecture room you are at a lose for words. You always hated plankton. So you are thinking to yourself, how can I incorporate the problems I had getting up in the morning with the course on plankton. You then realize the story writing you have been doing on StoryJolt.com. You know how to create a quick story using words out of the blue. That day, in your class, becomes the most memorable day in those kids lives. At least for a little while. Just imagine what writing for five minutes can do.

One way is to tickle the crowd with a giant feacter. The one I designed will separate the feather into the approriate number of crowd members. Some results may not be as expected. I would like everyone to start snickering. However, those with a full bladder may tend to release massive amounts of urine which could splatter a large number of people in the crowd. Others may tend to attack others thinking ir was their facult that they felt so giddy. Now there is a word for you. What does the word giddy mean? Don’t ask me. I just use it because I like it. As a general rule, I would like the entire crowd to have fun with my new invention which I intend to parent under the title “Fun with Mr. Feather’..
