What is StoryJolt?
StoryJolt is a place where you can use your imagination to write a story quickly. There’s no need for people to tell you how or what to write. Just write.

Who’s Behind It?
I originally started doing this with my kids so they could learn how to use there imagination a little better. I then noticed how I could use it to develop other things in my kids and my self. It turns out learning to tell a simple story can help with all aspects of your life one way or another.

Write a Story
How do you do this? We give you 2 words to create your story around. Your story must contain these 2 words. You then have 5 minutes to complete the story.

Example story:
Words required: fish, tree
One day a fish was swimming around doing the same old thing in the same old pond. He wanted something different. He used to look up from the pond and see a tree near the edge shooting up into the sky. He would dream of sitting and hanging out in that tree. One day he was doing his normal thing swimming and eating like a drone it seems. Not really paying attention. Then WHAMM! he.s hooked. He bit a worm that was on a hook. He was always told about hooks but never saw one. Luckily the fisherman did not want him and threw him back into the pond. He was now really frustrated. So he decided I am going for it. He swam to the bottom of the pond and starting swimming straight up as fast as he could. He went flying out of the water going straight for the tree. He was so close. Opening his mouth he grabbed the branch. He made it. He was so happy. Then he realized I CAN’T BREATH. He was dying there hanging onto the tree. He had to let go. When he let go and hit the water that was it. He knew his life would be just swimming around eating and nothing else. Might as well make the best of it..
