Waking up in a white room with people hovering over me is not a good feeling. After thrashing around for a few minutes and having what felt like a horse lay on top of me, the nurses finally got me to calm down. I was in the hospital but didn’t know exactly why. I had a brace on my neck and a few other places. A couple I.V.’s and a tube up my nose. I didn’t feel that much pain though, they must of had me doped up pretty good. I closed my eyes and tried to remember how I got here. It wasn’t working that well. Everybody was starting to talk to me. Asking if I knew where I was and what had happened. I just stared swaying my head from left to right. It was then that I heard a voice say “It was the horse that took a turn towards the gate”. It was then I closed my eyes and it all came back to me in a flash. I was bronco riding at the rodeo. The horse made a few kicks toward the gates. I made the mistake of looking at the gates instead of where the horse was going. He bucked me off to the left between him and the gate. The horse then came crashing into the gate just as I was falling. I guess I must be pretty bad off being squashed between the horse and gate. I just hope I made the buzzard and got a few points!!
