I knew we didn’t have a chance, at their age it’s usually all over before it starts. I had a plan though, and it didn’t have anything to do with stuffing their mouths with a sock. There are other ways to keep active boys quite. The plan was this, wear them out. Sounds simple right. Well at the moment it really did. The plan was to have us all run up the hill all the way to the last hay bail and then run back. Do 5 circles and through 3 balls into a basket for points. The whole goal was to tire them out. So we are off, at least they were. I had to go in and get a straggler. I was the last to start. I caught up though. About the half way point I meet everybody. There were some walking and others and decided to sit down and take a breather. I was pretty good though. By the time I turned my little girl was flying past me. She was the only one still running. My jog had slowed down a little. Hey it was a long way. Near the end I started to catch up. Just as I was about to start running to catch her, She took off again. I couldn’t believe her stamina. At her age running the course we laid out twice. Now that is some crazy stuff. I think the only person I was able to tire out was myself. Next time I should put a sock in it.
